Maximizing your $13.49/Day Hertz Rental Car with Double Points!

Last month I wrote about a great discount when renting from Hertz Rental Car. You can read all of the details here, but essentially for participating airport and non-airport locations in the U.S. (not including NY Metro and HI), Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico, you can get a car rental for $14.99 per day (for Economy and Compact cars) through June 15, 2013. You must use RQ code FRDM and if you have AAA you’ll receive an additional 10% off by using CPD code 1805452, bringing your total rate to $13.49 per day!

This can be a great rate, and Budget and Avis are also offering some great deals, so car rentals should be cheap between now and mid June! However, unlike Avis and Budget, Hertz has a great points program which allows you to earn points for free car rentals in the future. The good news is that between April 10 and June 22, 2013, you will earn double Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points on all rentals of 2 or more days starting with your second rental. The one caveat is that you MUST register for this promotion first – you can also check out the detailed Terms and Conditions on the registration page.

Enjoy not only your discounted car rental, but also the double points!

Thanks to Points, Miles, and Martinis for sharing the double Hertz points promotion!

Rate not valid unless you pick up from the airport (which adds an extra $8 per day in fees at ATL)
