Post #23 compliments of Mr. Deals…
So I have some work travel coming up. Very exciting, I know (got to get my Gold Status on American – keep the comments to yourself). As per usual, Mrs. Deals is on my case about where I’m going to stay, how many nights I’m going to be there and whatnot. I know she’s scheming something and I will certainly have no say on which hotel I stay at. Since I was not sure how I was going to work out my schedule with meetings I held off a bit on booking the flight (I’m going to Atlanta btw).
Anyway, the flights were about $500 when I was looking a couple weeks ago. Pretty pricey and given that I work for a small company and tend to be cost conscious I was hesitant to just book something and started looking around for something cheaper. I eventually forgot about it and just this week realized I needed to get something booked. Mrs. Deals comes to find out I haven’t yet booked my flight and starts getting on my case about how expensive it’s going to be because I’m in the two week window and whatnot. Oh, and I was looking at an AirTran flight – that clearly was not resonating with her. I tell her to “pipe down” (she tells me that all the time) and low and behold, Mr. Deals goes ahead and lands a $234 fare on American. Booyah! I guess waiting worked out, right Mrs. Deals?
Now, Mrs. Deals, where the heck am I staying?

Listening to Mrs. Deals is always a good move, flight arrangements and other subjects. You’re learing.
@MrDeals, really enjoyed reading your posts. Made me laugh and think about how this would be for me and my Mrs. If we were not working together and had to travel for work, I would be the Mrs. in your case and my wife totally be you! Just followed you on Twitter! Keep up the good work!
@Angelina A – I was home trying to stay sharp. Mrs. Deals is a tough cookie 🙂
@Cedarglen – Most of the time yes, but “other subjects” thats debatable.
@Jimmy – Glad you enjoy! Thanks for following!
