UPDATE: This offer has expired.
This is a quick reminder to activate the Q1 (January, February, and March) 5x point categories at Gas Stations, Drug Stores, and Starbucks. Although you have until the end of the month to get your 5x points up to $1,500, you only have until TODAY (March 14th) to activate. You will get the points for all prior purchases as well, not to worry. If you have not maxed out the $1,500 maximum yet and do not believe you will do so by the end of the year, think about purchasing gas cards, CVS/Walgreens gift cards, or a bunch of Starbucks gift cards if you are a daily coffee drinker! If you are big in the Vanilla Reload/American Express Bluebird came, you can also purchase $1,500 worth of reload cards at CVS and hit your $1,500 max pretty quickly.
Remember though, it is only up to $1,500 on these categories total and after that you will go back to earning the typical 1 point per dollar. This means for those $1,500 in purchases you will receive a total of 7,500 Chase Ultimate Reward points (or at a bare minimum $75 cash back).
If you are new to the Chase Freedom credit card and the quarterly 5x point bonus points, make sure to take a look at this prior post. Also, here are some of the key perks with this card: 1) there is never an annual fee, and 2) through this great roundabout method described in the prior blog post you can actually transfer your Chase Freedom points to partner loyalty program!
DO NOT FORGET TO ACTIVATE!!!
