Blog Post from Brother Deals…

I am very aware that this is a traveling website and every blog should boast how great traveling can be. I have been traveling for a while for work and love the thrill that comes with it. I enjoy the points almost as much as my sister Mrs. Deals. As her brother, she has taught me very well. What I am going to say will surprise a lot of you. I am actually fine with not traveling for the time being.

Recently, I have been placed on a local project for work. It was so weird not packing on a Sunday night or going to the airport Monday mornings. It caught my body off guard. I haven’t slept in my apartment during the week in the longest time. I even had to go grocery shopping (gasp!). It has now been two weeks and I enjoy living and going out in my town. I bought an apartment in March and FINALLY unpacked and made it look like home. The greatest part about being local is that I get to see my friends and family more often. I forgot how little I get to see them (especially my new niece Baby Deals).

I know that in a couple of months I will get the itch again to travel. The thrill of flying first class or getting upgraded to a suite will excite me again. Until then, I am going to enjoy NOT traveling. Have you ever felt this way?!

Safe Travel,

Brother Deals

I understand. I usually feel this way after an international trip but I’ve only flown those in coach. Cathay in January in first class coming up…might change my mind 🙂

I completely understand! I travel A LOT for work and it is almost exclusively in business class and I have a fair bit of say as to which airline(s) I fly and I get really tired of it really quickly. Business travel is not as glamourous as people make it out to be. Yes, I have status with 2 of the major chains and yes I get bigger rooms, etc., however, when you are away on business travel, you don’t have as much time to enjoy it. I am and ensure that I get some personal time so that I can explore, however that isn’t always doable.

I hear yah though, some times it is just nice to be home for a while!
