Via the The Wandering Aramean, JetBlue just announced an alternative to last year’s “All You Can Jet” deal, and is offering three months of unlimited flying from Boston and Long Beach. There are some specific terms to this deal, and it quite honestly doesn’t help anyone except those living in close proximity to these two airports.

The “BluePass” offer has three different promotions:

  • Boston All: $1,999 for 3 months of travel to all markets serviceable by JetBlue to/from Boston
  • Boston Select: $1,499 for 3 months of travel to 13 select markets serviceable by JetBlue from to/from Boston (travel to: JFK, EWR, BWI, BUF, DCA, IAD, RIC, PIT, RDU, CLT, ORD, BDA, and JAX)
  • Long Beach Select: $1,299 for 3 months of travel to 9 select markets serviceable by JetBlue to/from Long Beach, CA (travel to: LAS, OAK, SFO, SMF, SLC, PDX, SEA, AUS and ORD)

Travel dates are from August 22 thru November 22, 2011. All itineraries must depart from Boston of Long Beach (depending on the BluePass type), and there are no “open jaw”, “circle trip”, or “multi-city itineraries” allows. This means you cannot fly from Boston - Baltimore – New Orleans – Boston. You also cannot fly from Boston – Phoenix, then return Las Vegas – Boston.

You can purchase this deal starting today, July 28, 2011 thru August 31, 2011, but hurry as there is limited availability and could end at any time. Once you purchase this deal, you can start booking your travel August 15, 2011. The BluePass over includes last seat availability, meaning if there is a seat on the plane to purchase, it is yours. Also, there are no change/cancellation fees, and you can book your ticket up to 90 minutes prior to departure. Taxes and fees are not included in the BluePass price and must be paid for each flight.

BluePass’s can only be purchased online and you will need to be a member of the TrueBlue rewards program (if not sign up here. You will also receive bonus TrueBlue points for all BluePass purchases (Boston All BluePass – 12,000 points; Boston Select BluePass – 9,000 points; Long Beach Select Blue Pass – 8,000 points).
