Yesterday Points, Miles, and Martinis listed that there were some new promotions being added for Southwest fliers, but the details were yet unknown. I kept on checking the website, and finally this morning I am now able to see the details and registration link for all three new promotions. This is also in addition to the extension of the Double Points and TQP promotion I announced yesterday.
- Atlanta Double Points: Earn double points on every flight you book through Southwest Airlines for travel into or out of Atlanta
- Travel period: June 16 through July 25
- Booking period: May 16 through July 25
- Registration link
- Double Points between Houston and Boston, Providence, Manchester, and New York LaGuardia: Earn double points on every flight you book through Southwest Airlines for travel between these select four routes: 1) Houston Hobby and Boston; 2) Houston Hobby and Providence; 3) Houston Hobby and Manchester; 4) Houston Hobby and New York LaGuardia
- Travel period: June 16 through August 31
- Booking period: May 15 through August 31
- Registration link
- Wichita Double Points: Earn double points on every flight you book through Southwest Airlines for travel into or out of Wichita
- Travel period: June 16 through July 25
- Booking period: May 16 through July 25
- Registration link
With this promotion you will earn the following points on the above routes during the promotional time frame:
- Wanna Get Away Fares: 12 points per dollar spent (instead of 6 points)
- Anytime Fares: 20 points per dollar spent (instead of 10 points)
- Business Select Fares: 24 points per dollar spent (instead of 12 points)
Unfortunately, the bonus points earned will not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, and Companion Pass qualification. During this time, the total points earned from a Wanna Get Away fare can be thought of as a 20% rebate towards future travel. If you were contemplating using points for future travel instead of paying for the flight, I’d suggest paying for it. Keep in mind though you will not have the same perks if you need to cancel the flight or if the cost of the flight goes down in price.
Make sure to register for all three promotions just in case.
