Wyndham is at it again and offering another free night opportunity! This is one of their most favorable promotions and one that I highly suggest readers looking into! It is actually one of the best promotions compared to all hotel chains, but you have to want to stay at a Wyndham property in the near future! With this promotion you’ll earn 7,500 points after your stay, up to two stays. So that means a total of 15,000 points after you complete two separate stays. While 15,000 points might not seem like a lot, if you are aware of Wyndham’s program, you’ll know that those points will actually get you a free night at any Wyndham property. Wyndham has a fixed redemption program where all hotels require 15,000 points per night regardless of the quality and cost of the hotel. A Days Inn right off the highway costs the same as their all-inclusive Wyndham hotel in the Caribbean! This promotion is for stays through September 1, 2018. You can register for the promotion here.a cellphone next to a passport

This is actually the 4th time in less then a year that we’ve seen a free night promotion. The first time you were able to earn 7,500 points per stay (up to 15,000 points), but you needed to pay using MasterPass. The second time it required 3 stays to earn the full 15,000 points, and you needed to pay via MasterPass. The third time around you needed two stays to earn the 15,000 points, no bonus points after your first stay, but there is no MasterPass payment requirement! And this time around, it is the exact same promotion as the first time we saw it last year! Paying with a MasterPass is extremely easy, do not let it deter you!

Definitely a Mattress Run Worthy Promotion!

This could definitely be a mattress run worthy promotion. For example, on a quick search, I found a Howard Johnson in the Orlando area rooms for $33/night. This is an incredibly inexpensive rate and if you were to stay at this hotel twice, you’d pay $77 (includingh taxes). Although I am not sure you actually want to stay at that particular property! That will then earn you the 15,000 points which you can turn around and redeem for a room that could possibly cost $300 or more! While Wyndham doesn’t have as many high end properties as some of the other chain hotels, you could definitely get some good value out of these points – New York City, Napa, Aspen, Caribbean, etc.!

Last year, I forced Adam to complete a few mattress runs during various business trips to Orlando. While he didn’t actually stay at the property (and instead stayed at a much nicer Starwood nearby!), it was worth paying $90ish for us to then stay at the Wyndham in Santa Monica.

Keep in mind that no shows DO NOT earn points. Back in 2012, if you booked a stay at a Wyndham property and didn’t actually check in, no show stays counted towards promotions. While you’ll still earn the points now for a no show stay they will not count towards the promotion. From personal experience this no longer works!

Be Aware…

Wyndham states that this promotion could be pulled at anytime. This past winter when they ran a similar promotion they actually did pull in mid-way through and never told their members. This was extremely disappointing, but Wyndham actually did pull through and award points for Deals We Like readers! They have now made it much more clear that the number of points they will give out during this promotion is limited and that the promotion can end at any time. So if you are doing a mattress run for this offer, I suggest doing so sooner then later – just in case!

Comment below if you have any cheap Wyndham properties nearby! Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? I definitely will!

Do you know how soon 7500 pt bonuses post? I have completed two one night stays over the last weekend, and ‘normal’ point credits already posted, but bonuses have not.

Finally got my 15k bonus points, but took a couple of phone calls. Overall, pretty great deal, considering I paid ~$150 total for two hotels across the street from each other during the family trip I was planning anyways.
