Wyndham Rewards is has enhanced their point options where you can now redeem for a free nights at Wyndham Vacation properties as well as partner condos, houses, and town homes. For those of you who feel limited on places to redeem your Wyndham points, this can be a great option!

Unfortunately though, you are not able to search for availability and the number of points required online and instead need to call to inquire. Additionally, these added properties have blackout dates. So even if a property has availability you might not be able to redeem for a free night. For example, I called to inquire about Park City Utah and the blackout dates are between December 1 and March 31. So it seems like if you are looking to redeem your points during peak times, you might be out of luck.

Wyndham has a fixed award redemption chart which still holds for these new options. For a “Go Free” award, you’ll still redeem 15,000 points for a free night. However, that is PER ROOM. So if a condo you are looking to rent is a 2-bedroom, that will require 30,000 points per night.I was told that the condos have anywhere between 1-4 bedrooms, the houses are 2-6 bedrooms, and the town homes are between 2-5 bedrooms. The “Go Fast” still requires 3,000 points per night plus cash. The cash portion is essentially a percentage off of the regular rate at the property. Fortunately though, “Go Fast” awards are not subject to blackout dates.

If you are looking to redeem for free nights, there are different numbers to call depending on where you are looking to redeem:

  • Wyndham Vacation Properties: 1-866-370-0727
  • Wyndham Condos: 1-866-370-0727
  • Wyndham Homes: 1-866-232-8628

You can search the Wyndham Rewards site to find a property of interest and then at the bottom it will tell you the number to call as well. Although, I am finding the site to be quite confusing if you are looking to quickly search in a certain location.

There are definitely some awesome looking homes in some unique places! I am happy to see more places added as I might finally find a place to redeem my Wyndham points! Anyone find a great place to redeem their points?
