Vail Resorts just announced that they will be shutting down all their resorts between March 15 and March 22. This is currently affecting only the North American mountain resorts. Although the season is just temporarily suspended, they state that they will made a decision for the rest of the season by March 20. Some mountains, such as Breckenridge, sometimes stay open as late as May. Hopefully, there will still be some glimpse of a late spring ski season and that the Coronavirus has been shut down for good. Fingers crossed.

As of right now they have not yet announced what exactly will happen to those with the Epic Pass. They state: “Those products are non-refundable and not transferable to another season, however, we will be reviewing those policies and providing any updated guidance on that in the coming weeks.” I truly hope Vail Resorts does something, even if it involves offering a discount on next year’s Epic Pass.
I am definitely sad to see ski season end so early, but truly hope that Vail Resorts offers pass holders some monetary discount for next years pass.
