If you love the Hyatt Ziva brand as much as I do, then you’re in luck. A new Hyatt Ziva will be debuting later this year in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The Hyatt Ziva is Hyatt’s all-inclusive brand and is the family friendly option (as appose to the “Zilara” properties which are adults only).

The Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun will be taking over the currently closed Secrets Silversand, which is approximately 30 minutes from the Cancun Airport and in between Playa del Carmen and the Cancun Hotel Zone.

The new property will have 438-rooms, 17 restaurants and there is even mention of a waterpark in the hotel description. Since the property was formerly an adults-only property, I assume there will be many additions to the grounds, such as a kids club and other family-friendly components.

There is no exact opening date yet for the property — although it is slated for later this year in 2021. We also do not know how which World of Hyatt category this particular property will fall into, but based on most of the other Hyatt Ziva properties, it’s a safe assumption that it will end up being a category 6. This means the property will cost 25,000 points a night for two guests.

I am a huge fan of the Hyatt Ziva properties and highly recommend them — especially for families. Currently, you can stay at Hyatt Ziva’s in Cancun (on the Hotel Zone), Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana (Punta Cana), Hyatt Ziva Cabo, Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (Jamaica). There’s also plans for a Hyatt Ziva Barbados for next year.

I’ll definitely be falling the opening of this particular property closely and will be sure to update with any developments.

I don’t know why they get so much hate. I loved the ziva cabo even before we had kids.
